While there are numerous ways to explore Google App, here are some of the coolest ways you can use Google App to help make your life convenient.
  • Set reminders: It reminds you of your scheduled meetings. Just set reminders for any meetings and events on your calendar and Google App will remind you before it's late.
  • Voice instructions: It takes instructions from the user: like you can instruct it to call someone, ask it what time is your meeting, ask for voice directions etc.
  • Sports: If you are a sports fan and cannot watch the match, Google App is here to help. Add the team you wish to follow under customise option of the Google App and it will constantly update you on match dates, scores etc.
  • Stories to read: Stories that have made it to the news and are trending based on your interests. A quick way to catch up with what’s happening.
  • Get to work on time: Once you enter your office address in its settings, it will automatically suggest you the shortest route to the destination. The App keeps tabs on the time when you usually leave for the office and after a while automatically starts reminding you, based on the traffic conditions, when the right time to leave for the office is.
  • See how far you have walked: In its latest addition, Google App has added a pedometer to its website that tell you how much you have walked, cycled or travelled in a month. You can swipe cards away when you no more need them.
  • Stay up to date on movies, books, and TV shows: When you search for a movie, book, TV show, music artist, or video game on Google, it'll remember—and give you information about it in Google App. You can even tell Google to remind you about upcoming episodes, so you know when your favorite shows start.
  • What's the weather? The weather card helps you know about the weather outside. You can also learn about the expected weather and temperature so that you are prepared before you step out of your door. The best bit about Google App is that you don't have to tell it your location. If you travel to a new location, the Google App already knows it and will show you the weather at the new place.
  • Keep up with the trends: This card shows you the most trending topics on Google for the day. The topics are figured out on the basis of what interests you, which in turn is figured out on the basis what you search more on Google.

One year later, Jubilee on the right track? Today marks the first anniversary of the Jubilee government tenure in office since the repeat polls in October 26, 2017. The goverment led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto was elected after the first poll was cancelled by Kenya's Supreme Court citing irregularities, and ordered a new one within 60 days. The election commission had declared incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta the winner by a margin of 1.4 million votes. Raila Odinga, Uhuru's opponent, said the commission was "rotten and demanded their resignation. President Uhuru would later in October clinch the seat with  7,483,895 votes out of the 7,616,217 valid votes cast. The Opposition however did not take part in the repeat poll as NASA supporters barred IEBC officials from delivering voting material and engaged police in running battles.
