Why we men must join the Beard gang

Recent times have witnessed social media pages with men sowing off beards of all kinds. This is the reason that made me more curious about the reason why a man would have a beard and true to my word, it’s a trend that most men, especially in urban areas is catching up with.
A talk to several ladies proved that beards are a thing that most ladies love seeing on men.
Sylvia , a colleague confesses to me that she has loved a beard from her childhood days when her dad donned one and she now cannot date a man who has a clean chin, its just not her thing as she puts it.
While growing up, i knew beards were a preserve for chosen few; old men, the Sikhs and a few politicians who used it as a trade mark.
But this has changed and young men, including myself, are struggling to grow a beard.
I know of a friend who does not relate well with men who have clean chins.
Several  reasons are attributed to reasons why people are warming up to  growing a beard and some would be this;

Beards are manly
A man with a beard has that’s strong masculine look and it makes his look and presence felt. It also commands respect, so the next time you have a smooth chin and you are treated differently then do not question any other reason.

They help one retain warmth
A beard is like a sweater for a man’s face. Those are the words my boss used when I asked him why he has not had a blade through his beards for over seven years.

Beards represent wisdom
I now understand why as a child I respected many a man who had a beard. Historically, growing facial hair is attributed to the onset of manhood and being a man has a lot with maturity and wisdom.

Any man with a beard is patient
If I can take an year or two to grow a beard, then I clearly have no problem waiting for things to unfold. This is a good thing for you ladies because I am also committed to a beard  and I would commit to my lady which is a big deal

A beard helps save time
Doctor Herbert Mescon from Boston University calculated that if a teenager begins shaving at the age of 15, then in his 55 or so years of shaving, he is likely to spend approximately 3350 hours, equivalent to 139 days, at this task in his lifetime.

So that said, its only right that we men start warming up to this beard-gang habit and again its for the best reasons that ladies should love men who love the hairy look, and those with clean-chin men should also talk their men into this new habit.
