Uhuru finally says no, Punda amechoka

It is not every day that you see a President walk away from reading a formal speech prepared for him.
But today President Uhuru Kenyatta has left many shocked after he blatantly refused to read a speech prepared for the Small Medium Enterprises Roundtable meeting at Strathmore University.
Uhuru went further to admit that it is a disappointment by his government to  fail to make things better for the SME sector that had been important in the creation of employment for Kenyans.
"Wacha nisijiabishe hapa kusoma maneno ambayo ni story pekee yake, (Let me not read the speech that is full of stories)," Uhuru told the attendees.
In his casual speech, the President  went on to put various leaders on their toes on matters delivery to Kenyans.
He started with Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko who was ordered to clean the Gikomba market a project that the President promised to personally inspect the rehabilitation project where sh500 million will be spent.
"Sonko, ukikubali utoke hapa uitee watu wako wafunge hiyo sewage, maji itemebe vizuri shidaiko wapi? asked the President.
Energy CS Charles Keter also felt the heat after President Uhuru directed him to review electricity cost for SMEs and come up with a sustainable plan to ensure the cost of power to small and medium-sized enterprises is brought down.
The move has excited many Kenyans who were happy that the President is not happy with the pace at which services are being offered in the country.

"It is rare for a president to discard a written speech. He must have seen some exaggeration in it. That is the way to go and am happy he has seen the light."
